"I’m Just a Girl…"

Hey there, and welcome to The Herbcraft Blog — the cozy little corner of the internet where I’ll be sharing the messy magic of herbs, my herbal journey, and honest living.

So... where do we begin?

Well, in the wise words of Gwen Stefani:
"I'm just a girl. I'm just a girl in the world."

If I’m going to ask you to trust me with your herbal journey — or at the very least, your tea preferences — then you deserve to know who’s behind the curtain. So here it is, no business-polished bio or sparkly influencer intro.

I’m a 40-something woman who has dabbled in alternative wellness for decades. I’ve always believed in the power of herbs, intuition, and alternative medicine — but I’ll be real: life didn’t always make it easy to make them a priority. Between motherhood, marriages, grief, growth, and probably too many pets... things were a lot.

I’m a proud xenial (yep, that micro-generation between Gen X and Millennial — we exist!) who has been through some sh*t and came out the other side with a lot more empathy, a lot less tolerance for nonsense, and a passion for helping people feel more grounded in everyday life.

I’m a mom, a nana, a sister, and a friend.
I wear comfy clothes, live for carbs, wear one pair of shoes but have 10 pairs of glasses, and keep makeup minimal (lashes don’t count, right?)
My second marriage has been a true gift — my husband is a solid human, and I’m beyond grateful we found each other in this wild ride of life. I’ve also got some amazing kids — truly my greatest teachers. They’ve challenged me in ways I never saw coming (one more than the other, let’s be honest), but the hardest roads really do lead to the best views, and I’m so damn proud to be their mom.

I’ve worked in “helping” roles my entire adult life — it’s just what I gravitate toward. And this little venture, Rebellious Rose Apothecary, is me finally saying YES to something I’ve dreamed about for years. A space to offer herbal support, community, comfort, and knowledge — without judgment, fluff, or gatekeeping.

I’m nobody fancy. But I am someone who deeply gives a damn.

So that’s me — a perfectly imperfect human with a love for cheese, herbal wisdom, and community. I’m not here to sell you a perfect life in a jar. I’m here to walk beside you with muddy boots, a messy bun, and a mug of something steeped and soothing. Stick around if you’re looking for an herbal space that feels a little less "Instagram aesthetic" and a little more “I’ve got a heating pad and a good tincture for that,” you’re in the right place.
